Tiền tố trong Tiếng Anh là gì? (MTO 27-06-2017 11 : 55)

     

Trong Tiếng Anh có những từ gốc được gọi là căn ngữ (root), những từ này sẽ thay đổi nghĩa nếu được ghép vào một tiền tố (prefix) ở phía trước. Tùy theo từng tiền tố, sẽ tạo ra nghĩa khác nhau cho căn ngữ đó.

 Ví dụ:

Căn ngữ Happy nghĩa là hạnh phúc.

Tiền tố un- mang nghĩa phủ định.

Từ đó ta có:

unhappy=bất hạnh.

Như vậy, khi thuộc được nghĩa của những tiền tố, một khi đọc được căn ngữ của một từ, ta có thể đoán ngay được ý nghĩa của từ mới đó. Đây cũng là một cách hữu hiệu để nâng vốn từ Tiếng Anh của chúng ta lên nhanh chóng.

Ví dụ:

clean = sạch -  un: không => unclean = dơ bẩn

agree = đồng ý - dis: không => disagree = không đồng ý

understand = hiểu - mis: không => misunderstand = hiểu lầm

read = đọc - re: lặp lại => reread = đọc lại

Những Tiền tố (Prefix) thường được sử dụng:
